One Enchanted Evening

I was bored sick. Propped up in bed, waiting for the Vicodin to kick in and watching DVR’d episodes of Deadliest Catch while playing Scrabble with Jester and Hilly. Which helped make it a little less boring. Still, excitement was the furthest thing from my mind. Until I saw this flash accross my Twitter:
“Blogography: Arrived [...]

Talk To Me When You Hit 35…

Since that evening in my 14th summer when I surrendered my virginity to a handsome football player from the competing high school across town, sex and intimacy have played an important part in my life. The promiscuity of my youth turned selective after my first marriage ended and I found faith, but the drive to [...]

A Vocabulary Lesson

We were toolin’ down the highway in mah sweet, sweet ride, heading back from a huge music festival up in Portland called City Fest. It was fantastic! We saw Kirk Franklin, Phil Stacey (the former American Idol contestant), Kutless and Chris Tomlin. I was pretty star struck!
Heading back at 10 p.m. or so, I think [...]

I Quit. Period.

In approximately 30 minutes, I will officially be a non-smoker.
Until then, I’m outside pretty much the entire 30 minutes finishing my last pack of cigarettes.
Like so many of the others in the Quiteratti, I thought it might be a good idea to review the many reasons I have chosen to give up this nasty habit. [...]

Getting My Bass In Gear

It’s time I admitted to you, internets, that I have a sickness. It keeps me up, well, at sunrise at least, most mornings. It keeps me away from my family for extended periods of time. In fact, not only do I do it when I should be working or caring for my husband children, I do [...]

Flirting with the Faux pas

I like to think I am not influenced by those I spend time with. I like to think myself above the influence, so to speak.  While it’s comfortable up here on my high horse, every now and again I find myself a few feet lower, dusting myself off and planning to make a souffle with [...]
